OK I aint gonna lie and say WOAH! at Hussein Chalayan's whole collection (as I have in the past so so so many times), however he is FUCKING good and did not dissapoint. And actually he still managed a few mind blowing gowns at the end of the show... Detail shots at the ready...

^^^ from last night... I didnt take this... but yeah yay!!!!

OH MAN YOU TOTALLY HAVE TO GO SEE BAT FOR LASHES. srsly she is absolutly one of my favourite live performers, she is amaaazing. Her stage presence is like electricity (wow cliche, whatev), and her voice is just as good if not better than on record. And her costume was amazing too. I know thats not really important to her but I mean I guess it does create the whole live experience. basically it was a black long sleeve leotard, which I dont usually co-sign so much as a stage costume since everyone does it and its sort of boring, but she did it way well. like i said it was long sleeve with cool vertical chest panels, cool shoulers and the back was all drapey and sweet as. I dont really know who it was by but it was quite familiar to me. Anyway what made her outfit really special was this amaaaazing sparkly cape she wore over the top. I LOVE CAPES. like really so bad. so that was rad rad rad. and her band was pretty sharp too.
Anyway her music is so good live definately even better than on record. its like tribal with big drums and electricity (did i already say that?) and just awesome awesome awesome. I cant tell you enough how awesome it was. I didnt have my camera (BS) so no pics from the gig until somewhere else does a review and i can steal them.
OH and she did this amazing encore where she did a duet with a recording of herself on video. difficult to explain how cool this was.

Anyway I am just now trying to listen to her again but its a battle.

Love Stop Repeat

Last night was well good, of course. Slow Club really are a great band. it was nice when they started, they came into the crowd and played Wild Blue Milk. niiice.

One of the best parts of the evening was the support band they had, Love Stop Repeat. Aww theyre well nice yo. Check out thier myspace.com/lovestoprepeat particuarly the song 'Pictures'. Real sweet.

O HAY A D-I-Y UPDATE! well the tape fully came off in the washing machine (duh obviously), however it doesnt matter coz im still super happy with em. basically the yellow thread in them didnt dye so now they have sick yellow seams all around the ass and crotch area, fun fun fun!!!

Check out these mad ass boots I got from TK MAXX today... YAY. I was proper in the mood for buying something so I was way happy when I found them. Aparently they are Roberto Botella, but I aint neva heard of that yo. But that doesnt matter to me, I just mad like em.

A few things and some DIY l.o.v.e

First of all, check out my war wounds from yesterdays day of filming in a field. I had to do this wierd thrashy conceptual dance. I got totally into it and this is the outcome. My whole body is also pretty much killing me today. motherfuck!

Here are some accessories I wore today.

Rabbit necklace: vintage christmas decoration, Shark Badge: From London Aquarium, Panda: Fingerpuppet, gift, worn in pocket, neckscarf: vintage, T shirt and red courdroy shirt: Both charity shop/vintage.

Lastly, Im doing osme DIY shit AS WE SPEAK. Ya see these yellow skinny trousers?

well I havent worn them in forever, not for like 3 years or somehting, so I thought it was to update them. Basically I dont know if it will work but it will all be fun either way. What Ive done is ive marked two stipes down each side with brown parcel tape.
I then bought some black dylon washing machine fabric dye, and hopefully the tape will be strong enough so that once theyve been dyed I will have a shiney new pair of black skinny jeans complete with rad yellow side stripes. they are in the washing machine as i type... results later...
